Your Seasonal Grill Care Guide (What to Do & What to Leave to Us)
Barbecue season doesn’t last forever—your grill needs care at every stage.
Here's a quick guide to keeping it clean and functional, whether you’re just getting started or shutting it down for winter.
Spring Start-Up
Check for pests or cobwebs
Inspect ignition and gas lines
Scrub grates (not with a wire brush!)
Don’t light it without checking the grease tray
Book a full clean if you haven’t used it since last season
Mid-Summer Check
Empty the grease tray
Watch for flare-ups (a warning sign of buildup)
Give the burners and lid a look-over
Don’t ignore hot spots or uneven flame
Fall Shutdown
Burn off residual food (briefly)
Disconnect propane
Cover the grill properly
Don’t put it away dirty—mold and rust thrive in winter
